This is in fact a hoax. Photoworks, to its credit has retracted the story — that’s why the link to them above goes to a 404. The photos are real but they’re by multiple people (if you look at the collection of photos there are some aerial shots, some from all over the island, and use a variety of different lenses — an improbably amount of work for one man in a few hours during a military attack) and the story accompanying them is pure fiction.

This is in fact a hoax. Photoworks, to its credit has retracted the story — that’s why the link to them above goes to a 404.
